Turns out we're already bad at blogging.
This is what we've been up to according to the pictures on AJ's phone.
Center Street or "Downtown Historic Provo".
This is our new favorite place to go. About a month ago we got dressed up and decided to check it out since we hadn't really ever explored it. Our first date there, we were just looking for dessert. Dessert #1: Cookies at Station 22 Cafe and a board game. Dessert #2: Gelato at the Italian place on the corner and an accordion performance. Turns out Center Street has a hundred spunky little restaurants and it's become our goal to visit as many as we can. We've been back several times since. Like the first date, we usually pick a few places to try and order just one thing off every menu. Last night was a Navajo taco at Black Sheep Cafe (sooo good) and the Happy Valley sushi roll at Restaurant Demae. Center Street makes us feel cultured.

A few weeks ago we volunteered to babysit the Allred kids for the weekend. SO FUN! We went to the pool, made tie-dye t-shirts, had a pizza party, and watched more Phineas and Ferb than I care to admit. Sacrament meeting aside, it was a killer weekend.
Thanks for a happy weekend. We love you.

In addition to the Allreds, we also love General Conference and being with family,
Guru's huckleberry soda and live music nights,
Grandpa Baird's giant griddle and Bridal Veil Falls.
(Props to Mike for putting together such a fun camping trip for all the boy cousins.)
We're still just as in love as ever and living the dream. Between work, school, looking for housing in DC and the Welker family scripture challenge, we're staying pretty busy.
I can't wait until finals are over and I'm not even the one in school. Wish AJ luck!
Yeah!!! Another Blog! I check whenever I should be doing homework and I'm usually disappointed, way to finally do it!:) loved it, sounds like life is fun, I live like three blocks from y'all and still am surprised at how much I don't know about y'alls life...
ReplyDeleteMike.
Well, I just wrote a long comment that got deleted. I'll try to recreate it.
ReplyDelete1. Downtown Provo has come a long way since I left! How fun!!
2. Those Allred kids are absolutely adorable. They STILL talk about swimming, pizza, and especially the tie-dying. They loved it. Feel free to do that anytime.
3. The Grandpa Baird breakfast looked delicious! Let's try to recreate that when we go camping together.
I am impressed you guys volunteered to babysit Sarah's kids! That is something Jeremy and I have never had to, I mean, had the opportunity, to do. :) Looks like it was so fun though! Also, I agree with Sarah, when we were in Provo, Gurus and Ottavios were like the only cool places on Center Street. That griddle full of food also looks delish! Apparently I should have just dittod Sarah's comment.....Also, I miss you guys! August is too far away.
